Black Friday Night Nov 29 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Downtown will be dark except for the windows of our retailers.  WaKeeney's participating retailers are offering Black Friday discounts and sales to wind down your busy day of holiday bargain shopping.   

Wake up early Saturday morning and enjoy a full day of activities.

The Trego Booster Club is off to a running start with a 5K to get the blood flowing.   

Or maybe you prefer to spectate with Coffee & breakfast at The Well or Hometown Bakery.  Then shop til you drop with the Trego County Home Based Business 24th Annual Christmas Bazaar!  You'll find something for everyone on your list and supporting Small Business Saturday !!  

FREE for The Kids !

Take the kids on a scavenger hunt at the Trego County Historical Museum - they have fun searching for things in "Frosty's Winter Wonderland"   Open from 10am - 4pm 

At 2pm The City Library is featuring a free puppet show for the kids.   They'll learn the legend about the kind and "Good King Wenceslas"  

4pm Kuntz Meatz will have the fast pass Santa time slot tickets.  (limit 5 per person) - if you don't get a fast pass, you can still stand in line to see Santa !  

4:30 kicks off Santa's Downtown Workshop will fun treats, prizes, games and activities for the kids while everyone waits for Santa.   You can also go grab a bowl of soup for supper at the VFW Hall just around the corner! 

6:00pm it's time to gather around the town tree and wait for Santa to come and turn on the lights.   Then Santa will go to The North Pole and visit with the children until all have had a chance to tell Santa what they want for Christmas !  

Come spend the week end in WaKeeney and leave full of holiday spirit !
